I think I give up.

Ok it's like 2 days into this initiative and I think I give up. LOL.  Go ahead, which one of you called it? Today was a rough day with an almost 3 year old and an 11 month old.  Wow.  Add patching to it and it's just verging on unbearable.  Nicole has decided that she doesn't need to nap and has dropped one. Today she had a one hour morning nap. Lilia has dropped all her naps most days (although she still needs it).  That means in the 14 hours that my hubby was gone at work I got one hour without the baby but still with Lilia to make dinner, do dishes, laundry and feed her.  Yeah.  It didn't go so well.  Nicole was asleep before 7pm.  Lilia made it till 9pm.  Thank goodness for the slow cooker!  Does anyone have any good slowcooker recipes? I'd love to try them!
Now it's time to hit the sack.

  1. I'm impressed you made it through Sunday and managed to post. Sometimes I just need to not think about the computer, so if you give up I won't judge. ;) However, noticed you posted 2 weeks of pics on one day... girl, spread that out!!! My husband makes a mean pulled pork in the slowcooker, Betty Crocker taught him how.

PS. Naps are my sanity, without them I don't know if I could manage the day. I'm sorry you are loosing them... not good. Can you try teaching Lilia "quiet time?" Obviously if you are laughing hysterically you can see I don't have a 3 year old.

  2. LOL. I totally thought of you when I wrote this. yeah. I was dreaming. LOL. Mmmm I love pulled pork in the slowcooker. Made it last night...pulled pork chili! Lilia does a lot of quiet time during patchtime so I feel bad doing it later in the day. She actually a great toddler so I shouldn't complain too much!

  3. Instead of feeling bad for quitting the initiative, be proud, because that is two more than I could have done.
I am not sure what brands your store carries. That being said, I buy Tyson 2.5 lb. boneless skinless individually frozen chicken breasts from a supermarket locally. I think fresh boneless skinless chicken would do just fine. You might would have to add water. ?? I dump that in the slow cooker and one can of cream of mushroom and one can of cream of chicken. I fill one of those cans up with water and the other one with sour cream and dump those in as well. I throw that all into the cooker the morning and by supper it is just right. It make great open-faced sandwiches with mashed potatoes and also hot chicken sandwiches for later. My family loves it and it is so easy it should be a sin. :)
I hope Nicole starts napping again for you and your sanity.
