Ugh.

I.hate.contact.lenses.
Period.
We have set a record.
Lens lasted 12 days before it got rubbed out again.
I am feeling frustrated and down.
I am so very tired of looking for the impossible.
Sigh.
And if one more non-contact lens inserting into infant parent asks me how come I keep losing them I think I will explode.
That's all.
Guess I'll be putting in another call to the optical place.
Thankfully we have a spare right now.  Although I don't feel like doing any of it tomorrow.
But tomorrow is a new day.

  1. I have to say at this point (and I know there will be many different points in this journey), I find the contact the hardest to manage. Patching out right sucks, but the contact... double ugh! The roller coaster ride of loosing, finding, inserting, not inserting, and loosing again of the contact is pure hell. On the flip side, yes tomorrow is a new day. AND I do believe in the contact fairy. No lie!!! She delivers lost contacts right to my front door, literally. She is a crazy girl sometimes but you gotta believe!

  2. You are so right Amanda!! Although it wasn't a contact fairy. It was a Halloween goblin by the name of Baba. Nicole got a halloween treat in her bucket to cover the contact!! =)

  3. I agree... I.hate.them.too! I thought I lost one at the hospital when I went to see my new niece. I found it in the car floor board later that day. I was so tempted to get down on my hands and knees in that hospital to retrace my steps and look for that STUPID thing.

  5. It's crazy! And then I posted on yahoo's Aphakic group to see if others lose them as well and I get a response from a mom who says in like 4 years or something she's barely lost any. Gee thanks. LOL.
Anyhow, today is day one for the lens. Let's see how long it lasts!
